Photographic records of gorillas and their habitat serve a variety of scientific and promotional purposes. On a practical level, they help IGCP to record gorilla behaviour, habitat conditions and programme activities. Photography is also a highly effective means of conveying the conservation message to a wider audience and raising IGCP's international profile. View photos

The use of satellite imagery and sophisticated technology such as remote sensing (see Monitoring) enables IGCP to study and document landscape changes over time. The growing portfolio of field, topographic and vegetation maps at the disposal of the programme is a vital conservation resource. View maps

The gallery also features a range of high quality products, sold for the benefit of gorilla conservation, which can be purchased through IGCP's partners. View merchandise
